Whose Future?
Who gets to be a creator? Who builds the tools? Whose future will it be?
The problems of today’s internet stem from a lack of diversity among its leading creators. The people building emerging technology will shape the internet and the culture around it for decades. It matters enormously who they are.
Whose Future? builds digital equity by making creator tools accessible to everyone — starting with the two things that are hardest to get if you don’t already have them: the equipment, and the people who can show you how to use it.
How it works
The garages
A network of emerging-tech garages — physical community spaces with the hardware, software, and social capital needed to build the future. Embedded in communities from Harlem to Menlo Park and run by local facilitators.
LightSchool
An always-on immersive learning platform where students connect, collaborate, co-create, and share. Courses run from world-building and immersive video to AR, game design, and future forecasting.
The community begins with high school students but doesn’t end there — families, faculty, developers, designers, and researchers across the country test, evaluate, and collaborate on the program.
